QCD Sum Rule Analysis

چکیده
We present a QCD sum rule calculation of the spin-symmetry violating universal function χ2(v · v′), which appears at order 1/mQ in the heavy quark expansion of meson form factors. This function vanishes in the standard approximation, where radiative effects are neglected. For the first time, the complete set of diagrams arising at order αs is evaluated. In particular, we find χ2(1) = −(3.8± 0.4)% at zero recoil, indicating that 1/mQ corrections induced by the chromo-magnetic moment operator are small.

Sum-Rule Inequalities and a Toy Model Paradox
Fundamental inequalities for QCD sum-rules are applied to resolve a paradox recently encountered in a sum-rule calculation [1]. This paradox was encountered in a toy model known to be free of resonances that yields an apparent resonance using a standard sum-rule stability analysis. Application of the inequalities does not support the existence of a well defined sum-rule calculation, and shows a...
متن کاملQCD Sum Rules for Skeptics
A new Monte-Carlo based uncertainty analysis is introduced to quantitatively determine the predictive ability of QCD sum rules. A comprehensive analysis of ground state ρ-meson and nucleon spectral properties is performed. Many of the findings contradict the conventional wisdom of both practitioners and skeptics alike. Associations between the phenomenological fit parameters are particularly in...
متن کاملTarget Mass Corrections to QCD Bjorken Sum Rule for Nucleon Spin Structure Functions∗
We discuss the possible target mass corrections in the QCD analysis of nucleon’s spin-dependent structure functions measured in the polarized deep-inelastic leptoproduction. The target mass correction for the QCD Bjorken sum rule is obtained from the Nachtmann moment and its magnitude is estimated employing positivity bound as well as the experimental data for the asymmetry parameters. We also ...
متن کاملQcd Sum Rule Analysis of Leading Twist Non–singlet Operator Matrix Elements
We use QCD sum rules to determine the difference between moments of the non– singlet structure functions. This combination decouples from the singular behaviour of the structure functions near x = 1 as calculated in the quark–gluon basis and thus should lead to improved sum rule predictions. However, we find there are still very large errors due to higher order corrections. In order to refine t...
متن کاملInstanton and Higher-Loop Perturbative Contributions to the QCD Sum-Rule Analysis of Pseudoscalar Gluonium
Instanton effects and three-loop perturbative contributions are incorporated into QCD sum-rule analyses of pseudoscalar (JPC = 0−+) gluonium. Gaussian sumrules are shown to be superior to Laplace sum-rules in optimized predictions for pseudoscalar gluonium states in the presence of instanton contributions. The Gaussian sum-rule analysis yields a pseudoscalar mass of (2.65 ± 0.33)GeV and width b...
متن کاملQCD sum rule analysis of the charmonium system : The charm quark mass
In this work, the charm quark mass is obtained from a QCD sum rule analysis of the charmonium system. In our investigation we include results from non-relativistic QCD at next-to-next-to-leading order. Using the pole mass scheme, we obtain a value of Mc = 1.70 ± 0.13 GeV for the charm pole mass. The introduction of a potential-subtracted mass leads to an improved scale dependence. The running M...
